I still have lots of clean up to do, but if there is another cold spell, I like to let the old foliage and act a mulch to protect the plants.
Usually my Rhododendron calophytum blooms in February and the blooms get knocked down by rain and wind. But it is still only in bud. Uh-Oh--I had better go look, maybe I only have green shoot buds and not flower buds.
If there is a warm day the fragrance of the Daphne mezereum should start to be noticeable.
I did get some pictures of a few more plants mid February:
cyclamen |
Picotee hellebore |
February Daphne Daphne mezereum |
interesting foliage on a seedling cyclamen |
coums and hederafoliums in a mixed seedling group |
love the silver foliage on this cyclamen I got from Bouquet Banque |
